How do I order a product from this website for the first time?
It's quite easy. Just click on the "Get Started" button on the right-hand side of the website to create your free profile. Once your profile is created, you will be able to place an order. You don't need much technical expertise; aside from filling in a few boxes, the only technical requirement is to upload a few pictures. (This may already be done for you automatically if we have signed an overall deal with your Franchisor.) If you can "do" Facebook, you can "do" Homes on Mobile Phones.

How much does it cost?
Each property you list on Homes on Mobile Phones will cost you a mere $19.99. The only other costs would be an optional customized sign rider per keyword and alerts sent through our back end messaging tool.
[ top ]
How am I billed?
All transactions are settled via the shopping cart and checkout functions on the Homes on Mobile Phones site.
[ top ]
Are there any other fees?
None, other than the signs and optional alerts sent through our back-end messaging tool. [ top ]
How long can I maintain each listing?
For as long as you want. There is no time limit ... except, of course, when you sell the home you listed!
[ top ]
What happens when I sell a property?
You can send a message to your list of potential buyers informing them of the change of status. See "Who can I send Alerts to?" below.
[ top ]
What is a Keyword?
A keyword is the unique identity given to each of your properties listed. When a prospective buyer texts in a keyword to you, you will know - and see on your listings page - what property this keyword is associated with. [ top ]
How many keywords can I have?
Each listing can only have one associated keyword. That said, you can have multiple keywords saved in your profile for later use. To reserve keywords, please contact our customer service team at 1-888-465-3821. [ top ]
For how long are my keywords reserved?
They are reserved for as long as you need them. Once a home is sold, you can transfer the keyword from that home (since you will remove the listing) to a new home.
[ top ]
How many pictures can I upload?
You can upload up to 10 pictures for each property.
[ top ]
How much information can I include on the site?
The Homes on Mobile Phones template is designed for the optimal amount of information. Don't forget, your potential buyers are consuming this information "on the go" with a mobile phone, Blackberry or other such hand-held device. Be brief, punchy and to-the-point!
[ top ]
Who can I send alerts to?
You can send SMS alerts to any potential buyer who has texted your keyword to the shortcode.
[ top ]
Why can't I send alerts to everyone?
It's the law. To avoid "spamming," the law states that you can only contact consumers who have opted-in to receive messages.
[ top ]
How much do alerts cost?
If you choose to send alerts using our back-end messaging tool, each alert costs $0.25 per message sent. The advantage of using our messaging tool is that you can send multiple SMS messages simultaneously. However, most agents simply send SMS messages directly from their cell phone.
[ top ]
Can I view how many people have searched my properties?
Check the very granular Homes on Mobile Phones analytics page, which provides you with a 30-day activity chart and the incoming unique user IDs for each of your listings.
[ top ]
Does this service work on all carriers?
Yes it does.
[ top ]
Will most handsets have the capability to view my properties?
Yes, most do ... and more will every day.

For Consumers
How much does this service cost?
There is no user fee. Standard messaging costs and/or data service charges apply and will be charged to you on your next wireless bill if you do not have a text messaging or data plan. Please call your carrier to confirm the services included in your plan and/or to sign up for a messaging or data plan.
[ top ]
Will the agent see my phone number?
Yes, the agent will have access to your mobile phone number. No other personal information will be sent to the agent without your specific opt-in. Your phone number is necessary for the agent to get in touch with you about price changes, “Sold” notices or Open Houses. You will also be able to see the agent's phone number, and can initiate communication with him or her when and if you want to.
[ top ]
How do I sign up for alerts?
To inform the agent that you want to receive text alerts messages about a specific property, including alerts about price changes, “Sold” notices or Open Houses, you can sign up via your mobile phone on the alerts section in the Updates tab on the mobile web site. These texts will be charged to you at normal message rates via your wireless carrier.
[ top ]
What if I can't find the link?
The link to access detailed information about, and pictures of, the home(s) you may be interested in is at the bottom of the initial text message response you will receive from Homes on Mobile Phones. Just scroll down.
[ top ]
My SMS link arrived, but I can't seem to be able to access the mobile web site.
If that is the case, you probably don't have data services as part of your package with your wireless carrier/provider. You can, however, type or paste this link into a Web browser to view your mobile listing.
